A 26-year-old Chemist turned Health Coach and Yoga Instructor
Throughout my life there have been two things that I have always felt drawn to, science and being of service to others. In my college years I studied chemistry and exercised my analytical and problem-solving mind. I was fascinated by everything and loved to learn. When I graduated with my bachelor's in chemistry and began working full time in a lab I knew something was missing. At the time, I just didn't see how a way that my scientific mind and my compassionate nature could be integrated and complement one another.
Then, I found yoga.
Yoga is a spiritual science and something that I was completely unaware of for most of my life. Having been overweight and struggling with anxiety for many years yoga and meditation taught me how to be more aware of both my body and mind. As I deepened my practice I developed a loving relationship with myself. I began seeing food as medicine and put my analytical brain to use. I studied everything I could about the effects of diet on our physical and mental health. I studied the physiological changes that occur as a result of a regular meditation and yoga practice.
Now, I get to draw from my skills and knowledge as a chemist, as well as exercise my creative mind. I pour my passion for life into my work inspire others who are dreaming of making big changes and opening new doors in their lives. This is work that I absolutely love to do, and having completely changed all of the most important aspects of my own life, I understand how scary but completely LIBERATING it is to just GO FOR IT! I'm here to guide, help, support, and listen to anyone who feels frightened, stuck, fatigued, stressed, discouraged, or just plain unhappy.
